Pate de Verre Vessel

Pate de verre is a method of kiln casting glass. Crushed glass and/or powdered glass is mixed with a binding agent to form a paste, packed into a mold, and fired in a kiln. After firing and cooling, the mold is broken away and the fused glass piece is cleaned and finished.
This piece has shades of green coloring and is mounted on a small black pedestal.
